For Month 2 we are going to work off of the same snack samples as Month 1 but, focus on reading labels and purchasing foods that avoid ingredients on our list.

try for snacks that include 2-3 different food group items and mix it up for each snack throughout your day.

Snack Samples

  1. Handful of nuts and dried fruit
  2. 1 oz low-fat cheese stick and 1/2 cup or piece of fresh fruit such as 1/2 cup grapes or an apple
  3. 1/2-cup cup of baby carrots or other raw veggies and 2 tablespoons of hummus or low-fat dressing
  4. 1/2-1 cup low-fat plain or fruit flavored yogurt with either 1/4 cup granola or handful of chopped nuts
  5. 6 whole grain crackers with 1 tablespoon peanut butter
